Rules of Play

Term		Description
dropped third strike rule		rule of play applied where batter swings and misses the ball (as a third strike) and catcher fails to catch the ball
infield fly rule		rule of play applied where runners are at least on 1st and 2nd bases and a fair fly ball (not line drive/bunt) is hit which can be caught by an infielder (including catcher/pitcher)
